Saudi Arabia issues controls regulating customs procedures
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority of Saudi Arabia has issued regulations governing customs procedures, including clarifications on the procedures of the Customs Labour System, with a view to sensitizing its customers, officials and those interested in importing, exporting and transporting goods clearly and simplified. Through the issuance of controls, the Authority aims to raise awareness of customs procedures to promote compliance with customs regulations and regulations in order to achieve the flexibility of customs clearance and the expeditious termination of customs procedures, and to support trade facilitation initiatives across all land, sea and air customs ports in the Kingdom. Controls include clarification of a set of customs procedures associated with import, export and transit of goods documents, such as identifying documents to be attached at import, and amending customs data and prior clearance of goods, with clarification on the procedure for undertaking non-disposition of goods and transit, transit and temporary entry procedures, personal effects exemption controls and used household items and parcels and personal mailings, along with commercial sample exemption, safeguards, recovery and other general controls and provisions. As part of its efforts to raise awareness of its business areas, Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority also provides more than 130 guides through its website for various cosmic, tax and customs services, including guides on all matters relating to customs work procedures for issuing a report of origin and exporting dispatches via express carriers Registration of Road Transport Service and Simplified Guide to Deposit Areas and Electronic Confirmation Mechanism for Travellers via the Application "Zatka" and the User's Guide to Printing the Customs Card, Guidelines for Booking Truck Appointments at Land Ports, Guidelines and Irregularities of the Customs Clearance Profession. The Guidance Manuals issued by the Authority include detailed explanatory information to help guide the commissioners and customers to optimize their services.
